UW Kohl Center & LaBahn Arena - USCC DAS System

Fulfilling the need of cellular capacity requirements within the UW sports arenas in today’s trending market of in-building wireless build outs, this new Commscope cellular system is complete with a full 226 build-out of seating and concourse antennas to 90 fiber fed remote units throughout the facility. Complex scaffolding is required for this build-out with the complex coordination between basketball and hockey seasons and other arena events. US Cellular Corporation is the anchor tenant carrier on the new system with their cellular radio source from nearly 3 miles away. Globalcom Technologies installed a 576-strand single mode fiber for this 3-mile to the Kohl Center for the fiber backhaul service.
